Last week she was live on television, answering typical Miss Teen U.S.A questions. See the already much talked about video of one of her answers and judge for yourself whether this Miss Teen U.S.A is worthy of her title.

When asked about her amateur answer on the question why only one fifth of Americans can locate the U.S.A on a map, the poor girl said that she would love to re-answer that question. She hadn’t heard half of the question when it was aked her for the first time, she was very nervous and that’s why she stuttered so much and gave such as confused answer.

Miss Teen South Carolina’s new answer was: Well personally, my friends and I, we know exactly where the United States is on our map. I don’t know anyone else who doesn’t. And if the statistics are correct, I believe there should be more emphasis on geography.”

Yesterday Paris Hilton was sentenced to go to jail for 45 days! This is sad but interesting news.

Yesterday Paris Hilton appeared before judge Michael Sauer after being pulled over on February 27th for speeding and driving without headlights by Los Angeles county deputies. When she was stopped and checked, the police discovered that her drivers licence had been suspended in January over a drunk driving incident in September. At that time Paris Hilton was pulled over with an alcohol level in her blood well over the legal limit of .08. Paris pleaded that she had only drunk one margherita but that she did not have the time to eat because of working on her new video all day. Hence the high alcohol percentage.

After this, two other traffic stops and failure to enroll in an alcohol education program, part of her sentence after the drunk driving, are what landed the socialite back in court.

Paris claims not to have known in February that her licence was suspended. Before judge Michael Sauer Paris Hilton said “I’m very sorry and from now on I’m going to pay complete attention to everything. I’m sorry and I did not do it on purpose at all.” A few days ago she had uttered the same and added that she thought her life would be over if she was sentenced to go to jail.

Judge Sauer though was not impressed and sentenced her to prison for 45 days in the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California where she has to report on the . 5th of June. f she doesn’t report she’ll face 90 days in prison Because of her “partygirl” status Paris Hilton is not allowed any work release, furloughs, use of alternative jail or electronic monitoring instead of going to jail. There is clearly an example set here.

Both Paris and her parents, Rick and Kathy Hilton, were clearly upset yesterday at the packed Metropolitan courthouse in Los Angeles. To the question “what she thought” Kathy Hilton replied angrily “What do you think? This is pathetic and disgusting, a waste of taxpayer money with all this nonsense. This is a joke.”

We’re very interested what’s going to happen next. Does Paris Hilton have any friends powerful enough to keep her out of prison? Will Paris Hilton survive in prison? Is the next series of the simple life going to be shot in there? Is this the simple life?
